XIII International Cell Wall Meeting

The XIII Cell Wall Meeting will be held in Nantes, France from 7 to 12 July 2013.

Plant and Seaweed Polysaccharides Symposium 2012

The 2012 Plant and Seaweed Polysaccharide Symposium, PSP2012, will be held from 17 to 20 July at the International Convention Centre (La Cite, Nantes events center) in Nantes, France.

Marie Curie Conference - Satellite event at ESOF 2012

The Marie Curie Conference will take place in Dublin on 10&11 July as a satellite event of ESOF, the Euroscience Open Forum.

Second Network Meeting and Training Event

The second WallTraC network meeting and training event will be held in Ghent, Belgium from 11 to 15 June 2011. The events will hosted by the project partner Bayer CropScience.

Summer Course Glycosciences

12th European Training Course on Carbohydrates will be held from 3 to 7 June, 2012 in Groningen, The Netherlands

First Network Meeting and Training Event

The first WallTraC network meeting and training event were held in Lille Skensved, Denmark from 14 to 18 November 2011. The events were hosted by the project partner CP Kelco Aps.

Kick-off meeting

WallTraC kick-off meeting was held in Nantes on July the 6th and 7th 2011. The meeting was hosted by the project coordinator INRA - French National Institute for Agricultural Research.

_{The Plant Cell Wall Training Consortium}

WallTraC is a Marie Curie Initial Training Network (ITN) gathering nine leading researchers on plant cell walls from the private sector, universities and research centres and two associated partners .

WallTraC has two major interlinked strategic objectives:

To develop new molecular tools & techniques for the analysis of plant cell walls & their component polymers - mainly pectin and cellulose - with direct applicability to industrial end-users in the functional food ingredients & plant fibre sectors;
To provide high quality, intersectorial & trans-disciplinary training in plant cell wall analysis & complementary skills with the aim of enabling young scientists to respond to future demands in both academic and private sectors thereby securing the future EU expertise base.
